But so much inspiration. Can't beat actually being in the Scape.

Lovely to have a mini heatwave to get creating in the garden. Have to keep dipping out of the sunshine to cool off a bit.

Great to use the quick drying of the sunshine to create unique marks and textures in the paint washes.

A wonderful week in a cosy cottage in Blythburgh, Suffolk has come to an end. 😔 Lots of long walks with wifey and the two Muttleys around the estuary, Walberswick and along the reed marches and riverbanks alongside the river Blythe- a lovely change of landscape to the usual coastline.

Loved the subtle colours of the reed marches and the reflections in the waterways. So much painting fodder.

Armed with acrylics, pens and tinted charcoals, had a bit of fun sketching. ☺️😀

Really pleased that two large paintings have winged ( or rather UPS'd) their way to different parts of the country 🔴🔴.

Mercurial Straits is Norfolk bound. True Blue off to the south coast to a new home..

True Blue was created when I was immersed in abstract painting. Mercurial Straits v recent. I still love the abstract thing and still experiment. Great to experiment and keep it all interesting.. 💡🎨

Good evening attending the 'Meet the Artist' evening at The Bobcat Gallery, Putney Exchange, where I have ten artworks on display.

Rejoined the Tate finally after parking it since COVID years. Went to see Zanele Muholi photo Exhibition. Some amazing high contrast portraits. Also had a look at the Anthony McCall light sculpture show. Small but pretty funky.

So made an afternoon/ eve of it. 🤷‍♂️🎨

Battles with the Gazebo construction on both mornings but managed to keep everything together despite some shockingly timed squals.

Thanks to all the Event organisers who did such a great job and putting on the event to raise hopefully lots of funds for Cancer Research.
